How things work
Parties are booked for a two hour time slot. 90 minutes of make time and about 30 to celebrate. You'll also have 15 minutes on either side of your party time slot for set up/take down.
Saturdays: 10-noon or 1-3pm
(We usually have a little wiggle room on start times, just ask)
Cost: $425/up to 12 makers
We've chosen our most popular shop projects for our parties.
All projects have been kid tested and kid approved for all genders.
Just check the age suggestions.
We believe in the power of choice and following the kids' lead.
No two projects turn out the same. Just like our kids, right?!
Choose one project theme per party, please.
All ages & our most popular project!
We'll provide loads of scrapwood and loose parts for kids to design and build thier own robo-buddy or animal friend. Makers will get to use drills, hammer, and screwdrivers. Each creation will have movable arms/legs.
Sew a stuffie
Best for ages 7+
Makers will design, cut, stitch, and stuff their very own felt buddy. This project is very adaptable for a custom theme or leave it open-ended.
Makers will start with a wooden base, sand, then hammer wooden wheels and axles in. Next, they'll build the rolling toy of their dreams using a variety of wood scrap and loose parts.
Peg doll party
Tiny things are just the best. Let's imagine a whole host of tiny characters with our Peg Doll Party. Each kiddo will receive a set of six wooden peg dolls to paint, dress and decorate just the way they like.
Make the cutest little miniature gnome home complete with toadstools, moss, rocks, and a little bearded gnome friends.
Cardboard castles are a long-time party fave around here. Each kiddo will assemble their own castle then decorate to their heart's content. They can be whimsical, spooky, made for a mouse, turret's the limit!
Shields & swords
Makers will design their own crest symbol then paint and decorate their shield. We'll create reinforced cardboard swords, too! Substitute crown for swords for a more peaceful party.
Arggg! Let's make mini-pirate ships! We'll provide the basic boat made of cardboard for your scurvy bunch to decorate. They'll make painted sails, mini-priates, cannons, sharks and more!
We'll provide loads of open ended materials like wood scrap, loose parts, paint, and fabric. Makers will have the entire time to develop their own projects with access to some cool tools like the drill press, saws, and more. We'll support with direction, ideas, and safe tool use.
*WoW will be adapted to the primary age group of the party.
Polymer Clay Pals
We'll use oven bake clay to sculpt miniatures of all kinds. This party is easily adapted to a specific theme like Kawaiis, donuts, or sloths. We'll have key chain and earring parts as well.
Remember Shrinky-Dinks?! They're so fun! Makers will draw their designs on specially made plastic sheets that shrink to 1/4 of their size when placed in an oven. Make keychains, necklaces, or earrings!
We're all a little obssessed with needle felting around here. Makers will have the opportunity to make a fluffy little pal using real wool roving and a needle felting needle.
*the needle is VERY pokey. We have saftey gloves.
Let's take our stitching game to the next level. Makers will have the opportunity to learn a few embroidery stitches while they desgin and stitch an iron on patch or a mini-stuffie pin.
7-strand friendship bracelets
It sounds hard but boy is this bracelet weaving technique easy! If your party goers love to crafy while they chit chat, this is the best hang out craft!
We'll use easy to carvy linoleum blocks (think eraser materials) to create a printable stamp. Choose from printing on paper and cards or upgrade and print on tshirts or totes (BYO-swag).

Food & Bev
Bring it on.
You are welcome to bring in food/drink/etc.
Delivery is a-ok. Let us know if you need suggestions.
No alcohol, please.
Plan to bring your own paper goods, etc.
We have a small refrigerator and kitchen space available for use.
We just ask folks to wait to eat until after we're done crafting. It reduces the chance of kids accidentatly eating art supplies or spilling juice on their work;)
Gifts, Goodie Bags, & decorations
You've got options.
Most fams take any gifts home to open them there.
Goodie bags are totally optional, they do get to take home their cool creations!
We will decorate our big green chalkboard and our outdoor sandwich board with the birthday kiddo's name. You are welcome to bring additional decorations.
It's party time!
Arrive 15-20 minutes early to set up food/drink/decorations.
Your instructor will help welcome families and get the kiddos settled.
They'll then go over workshop norms, introduce the project, and help kids get started.
After about 90 minutes, your teacher will have the kids help clean, wash hands, and transition to celebration time.
Once your party time is over, you'll have up to 15 minutes to settle your bill, clean up, and head out. Easy-peasy.
What do they do?
Caregivers may drop off or stay and play.
We suggest asking a few trusted adults to hang around and let the other folks drop and go.
All caregivers must sign a waiver for their kiddo and leave contact info.
Any children younger than 5 must have an adult accompany them in the workshop.
Grown ups are welcome to help out or, let the kids go solo. Trust us, they can do it!
